Accessibility

We're working to meet WCAG 2.2 AA; tell us if something is in your way. Anyone should be able to read this site and reach us — with a screen reader, a keyboard, a magnifier, or one hand on a phone at the side of the road at night.

What we aim for

We build against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the current international standard. It is the target we work to, not a badge we claim: the checks so far were done by reading the code and measuring the built pages, not yet by a person using assistive technology end to end.

What is built in

  • A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach with the keyboard on every page, and every control shows a visible, high-contrast focus ring — amber on the dark sections, ink on the light band.
  • Every form field has a real label. Errors say what is wrong and how to fix it, as text on the page, and are announced to screen readers. The ZIP check answers in a live region and never by color alone.
  • Nothing moves if your device is set to reduce motion, and there is a “Pause motion” control in the footer if you would rather stop it yourself. Nothing autoplays with sound.
  • Text and controls are measured against the ground they sit on for contrast; the call, text and ZIP buttons are at least 44 pixels tall on phones, and smaller text links carry extra tap padding.
  • The site works at 200% zoom and down to a 320-pixel-wide screen without sideways scrolling.

Tell us if something is in your way

If any part of this site does not work for you, call or text (323) 413-4378 and say what happened and which page you were on. You can always reach Frank by phone without the site at all. We fix what we are told about.

Fixed before the day starts.
