Pre-purchase inspection — we come to the car, wherever it's parked.
Buying a used car from a private seller or a small lot, and you want an honest look before the money moves. We inspect the car where the seller parks it — mechanical, electrical, a scan for stored faults, a test drive — and give you a written report you can negotiate with.

You notice
- A private-party sale where the seller says "runs great" and nothing else.
- A car with a clean exterior and no service history.
- A price that seems a little too good.
- You are buying for someone else — a parent, a new driver — and want a second set of eyes.
What we do
- 01Check the engine, cooling system, belts, hoses, leaks and mounts.
- 02Inspect brakes, tires, suspension and steering, and the underside for damage or rust.
- 03Scan the computer for stored and pending fault codes and check for recent clears.
- 04Test-drive it, then walk you through what we found — in writing.
Where it happens
At the seller's address or the lot, with the seller's permission. Book with the car's location and the seller's window; we coordinate the time so nobody waits.
By California law, on every job
- A written estimate — and your OK — before any work starts.
- Nothing above the estimate without your authorization.
- An itemized invoice that says whether parts were new, used or rebuilt.
Business & Professions Code §9884.8–9884.10; 16 CCR §3353, §3353.1, §3356.
Pre-purchase inspection — straight answers
Long enough to do it properly, including a road test. We tell you the time when we book so the seller can plan too.
A written report of what we found, what needs attention now and what can wait, and our honest read on whether the price is fair for the condition. You decide; we just make sure you decide with the facts.
Yes, if the dealer allows an outside inspection on their lot — most do for a serious buyer. Ask them first and tell us when you book.
We tell you exactly what is wrong and what it would cost to put right; whether that makes it a bad buy at that price is your call. Plenty of cars are a good buy once the price reflects the report.
Something else? Call (323) 413-4378 — a real answer beats a guess.
